Trefor,
It's just that I'm comparing it to things like "West Side Story" when one finds oneself humming the songs for weeks afterwards...
"When your a Jet, you're a Jet all the way
from your first cigarette to your last dying day..."
Bother! I'll have this stuck in my head for the rest of the day

I enjoyed Brigadoon, but I'm more of an "Oklahoma" man.
Oh what a beautiful morning, .....
Of course, that may be because the girl who sang "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No" in my high school musical was just adorable.

McMurdo, just replace it with:
"Go home, go home, go home with bonnie Jean,
Go home, go home, IIIIIIIIIIII'll go home with bonnie Jean."
There did that help?
"Touch not the cat bot a glove."

The Jet song is one of the most boring in the whole musical Panache!
How on earth can it compare with Almost like being in Love or The Heather on the Hill?
And....
There are NO kilts in West Side Story!
