I'm one of the lucky ones. My lovely wife thinks I look dashing in kilts and encourages me to wear them. She even joined X Marks the Scot!
Good Luck on winning her over
Cheers

Exactly! My wife was reading this thread over my shoulder and after the initial post, she said to me:
"Well, I think you look dashing in your kilt. That's why I married you that way!"

Same with my wife . . . first time I put a kilt on she said: "Wow, it really makes you look so masculine!"

Sorry to hear that.
It may not be be a question of being lucky. For me it is simply a fact that my wife loves me (also when) kilted.
She does occasionally tease me for spending longer time getting ready to go out together (as I also have longer hair than her), though. In discussing kilts, she loves to point out the masculinity of the kilt. And, last but not least, she gets a kick out of the attention I get from other women - "jepp, he is my guy!"
OK, maybe I am a little lucky

Wife loves it. I think she really likes the positive comments that other women give me. After all, she's the one married to this kilted hunk! Really, wait and see. She might find a good reason to like it too.

I guess I'm lucky. I wife likes it when I wear my kilt and she says that it is very handsome. Here is a typical response I get from her while I'm kilted...

In my opinion I think a woman should be proud to have a mad whose heritage runs deep and is comfortable and confident enough to wear his kilt out with her .Maybe if she dressed to match then she would feel more comfortable. but this is just my opinion.

That's a great idea. Many Fridays my wife and I both dress up and go out together. We do it just because we like it, and it is noticed by others. The most common comment is: "You two are awesome!" We love being seen with each other and we're proud of how we look together. Great way to make a marriage last (36+years so far).
