Haven't had the chance to actually put it into practise yet, but here's the theory:

Shirt always in, sweaters always out (or, if not out, than in with a good amount folded over).

It depends on how casual I want to dress, even when wearing a t-shirt, although with my button down shirts it's almost always shirt in, they're generally too long to be worn outside the waistline.

I've only been at this for a month or so, which means I know less than nothing at this point, but that's what seems most natural to me. I do, however, have a couple of "military" style sweaters that want to be tucked in.

Ok as far as I see it Shirts Always in

Sweaters in or out depending on the weight of the sweater
I often wear a mock neck sweater tucked in, I just like the way it looks, and really its not that thick, however if Iwere wearing an aryan sweater I would leave it out.

Can I assume you meant an "Aran" sweater, and not one favored by white supremacists?

As for the original question, I'll give the same answer I give whenever it comes up: Tuck in your shirt. Don't be a slob.
