My two cents worth of comments.
You kilt looks very nice but could be worn at your natural waist. (About 1" to 1 1/2" Higher than you are wearing it.) That would bring the hem to right at the top of the knee cap. When a Traditional Style kilt is cinched on it should feel almost like a kidney belt in the back.
It also appears to be just a touch big on you. There should be no wrinkles or wavering of the front apron. The apron should be hanging in one smooth curtain in the front.
Try a darker shirt and see what you think. A darker color would look very nice and balance the dark of the Tartan. I usually only wear a T-shirt with the most casual look with boots and pushed down socks.
Lose the White socks. Very white hose are usually worn only by pipebands. A nice Lovat Green goes very well with that Tartan.
Definitely steam out those wrinkles. They are just from the shipping and not supposed to be there. With Acrylic, the hanging in the bathroom when you take a hot shower trick, usually works.
Congratulations on a very nice kilt. Wear it with pride.
