    lol Save some of these antics for Friday April 27th. ;) Once again, I think a black large would be great. Great SOKS logo. Great rabble... Grant, I still owe you a brew, too, so perhaps you should arrange a DD? And Pete, I'll probably have a downpayment for my Maple Leaf then, too.

    Friday April 27, 2007 at the Queen's Head in Oakville at what time?

    well i'm not going to Kilt Night or playing Paintball anytime soon;
    my van has broken down and I have no idea what is wrong.
    it's sitting in a parking lot near the QEW and wont start.
    my buddy Mansell and I have changed the fuel filter but that didn't fix it.
    Mansell thinks that it maybe the coil that is gone,
    so tomorrow we are going to find out if it can be tested to be sure.
    either way I have no money to fix anything until the first of the month.
    Fun wow!

    anybody know anything about 1990 Lumina APV's ?

    Won't start but cranks? Either fuel or ignition. Turn key to on do you hear the fuel pump whirl? May be located in the fuel tank or just ahead of a rear wheel. If that works, do you have spark? Pull a spark plug install spark plug boot and hold the SP with pliers about 1/8" from metal surface, crank engine do you see a spark?

    changed fuel filter, fuel flow is fine, spark seems intermittent but we are unsure as the plugs were wet and we could be getting a faulty connection caused by grease and paint on metal parts.
    we are taking another stab at her tomorrow.

    Why were the plugs wet? Was it gasoline? Maybe the engine was flooded. Do you smell gas up front from the throttle body?

    Oh and do these check kilted so that we can discuss it on this forum.

    well this is an effort to get me to our next Kilt night;
    yes it was wet with gas, the motor flooded trying to start it after we changed the fuel filter.

    all indications are that it is not getting spark or spark is intermittent or weak.

    tomorrow we are checking the coil and finding out if it's faulty or just what to check out next.

    WOO HOO!!
    IT'S ALIVE!
    IT'S ALIVE!

    all my weenie wagon needed was a new ignition coil!
    got one out of my buddies old Safari Van that has spun a bearing
    and we're good to go!

    next hurdle,
    I'm almost out of gas with no money,
    so this is going to take some doing.
    but I'm not giving up yet!
    I've still got the better part of a week to figure out something.
    CCGA3359, do you know anyone else that might need a Tactical Paintball vest?
    i have one that i could sell cheap!
