I got into doing henna about eight years ago. About four years later I discovered woading and indigo. I would woad cool designs on my left arm (I'm right handed) and my legs and people would go, "WOW! That's so cool. Do me! Do me!" But alas, I could not. Woading and indigo are only for people ages 16-60 and in perfect health. It cannot be used to cover more than %10 of the body. It's a trans-dermal toxin and can cause nasty rashes and dermatitis. So, I started looking for a suitable replacement for woad and indigo. I found something called Harquus (black only) and Temptu. Temptu comes in many, many colors. I found that the Blue-Black matches woad and indigo perfectly. It's water proof, but not soap proof. One bottle will last a long time. You can do about 25 full back pieces with a 4oz bottle. The color lasts about three days.

Here's a link, it's definitely worth checking out.
