Grant - thanks for the detailed & revealing review! I had already planned my next kilt to be one of Steve's, but you've certainly done nothing but solidify that decision for me. (My first FK, however, will be a solid color - nothing against the camo, but since I don't HAVE to wear camo patterns any more, I tend not to. More importantly, the solid will replace a pair of uniform p@nts, so I need to at least try to come close to matching their color.)
I really appreciate your comment on the decorative buttons being raised a bit - I wouldn't have expected that, and like your proposed "fix." (I hope Steve can/will accommodate a few of us who may be a bit persnickity about things - I just hate "catching" on things as I wander around... it's bad enough my shoulders tend to "catch" every doorjamb or corner I pass - and not because of my breadth. I've "caught" seams and pleats and flaps and pocket opening, and... well, you get the idea. Buttons that catch? Just more potential pain!)
