    But I am sure that Thomas Telford would have approved ccga!

    He could build an aqueduct to link canals at equal height but there was only the lock to raise boats between different heights.

    There was also the inclined plane and boat lift (Anderton), there is also the submarine lock that they're trying to find and excavate.

    The Anderton Lift was built in 1875, Telford died in 1834.
