    Nicely put! The only thing they can do is say no. But, you have stated your case well and that will serve for them to remember it in the future.

    I wear my kilts to work every day (as long as the temp exceeds 30 degrees F..

    Management says not a word and I work for a very large corporation..

    Since I haven't actually won my case I really can't say I have any words of wisdom but I think the best way to go about anything is politely and without being confrontational. There is a difference between being persistant and being stubborn: Persistance often pays off but stubbornness usually is returned in kind.
