OK my Tartans and why I will start with the tartan's I have:
Gunn Modern: Dad's side of the family, family heirloom
Graham of Mantieth: Again from my Dad's side of the family
Isle of Skye: I fell in love with the look of the tartan, as an aside I sobered up the same year it was woven and my Mom has always loved the Isle of Skye, not sure if there ever was any family there but there may have been.
Black Stewart: My Mom's maiden name is Stewart, and the red seemed a wee bit much.
so those are the tartans I have right now, but on order I have
Maple Leaf: As I am Canadian, and I love my country it made sense and Pete at Canadian Casual Kilts made it easy to get into.
I will be getting an xmarks made at some point, and will of course post pictures of it when that happens.
Tartans I would like
MacPherson: My Uncle Murdy's family is from a sept of the MacPherson's
MacDonald Again from my Uncle Murdy's side of the family.
After that I will have to do more digging into family history, but that is my list for today.
