My tartans and why?
Okay, I'm one of those who believes in wearing what I please, but this is an interesting thread.
Currently have:
Black Watch: I really like the tartan. I think it is one of the best looking tartans out there, and it tends to be considered a "universal tartan"
Roadblock: Okay, it is really a generic tartan, but since it had no name that I could find, I call it by the name of my cat that passed away.
Desire to obtain:
MacGregor: I have ties to the clan through my mother's side of the family.
Colorado: I am a resident of Colorado, with absolutely no desire to live anywhere else. This is my home, and the fact that the state tartan is absolutely incredibly beautiful is a bonus.
County Armagh: To honor my Irish roots. Most of the Irish blood in my veins can be traced back to Armagh.
Irish National: Again to honor my Irish Roots.
USAF Reserve tartan, AKA US Forces: To honor the service given by many of my family in the USAF, the branch of the US military that I would have gone into if they had let me in.
I'm sure to be missing some, but these are the top of my list.
