    WOW!!!

    What a great thread!

I am humbled, curious, and excited...I don't know where to begin

    I have the following:

Scottish National - because I didn't know any better, but lucked out as I'm half way there on my Mother's side.

    PSD - Operation Iraqi Freedom

Utility/Sport Kilt - What the hell

    I want:

Black Watch - Cause they're cool, great looking, and I think I'm eligible (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), I served as a Hospital Corpsman USN - Fleet Marine Force and my father was with the RCAC as a Royal Canadian Dragoon (drove a Mark II Centurion MBT) possibly the Black Watch of Canada???

Maple Leaf - 100% Canadian and proud of it.

Texas Bluebonnet - Where I reside now

X Marks the Scot, but I haven't seen it yet...

If I was technical and had money to burn, then I would like one from each of the places I lived or organizations I was associated with, such as:

    Ontario - Born in Weston
Nova Scotia - Nice looking tartan and my Mom's province
New Brunswick - In honor of my Father
British Columbia - Where I lived and still have family.
    US Navy - faithfully served
USMC - Saved a few of them back in the day

    Cheers - Chase

    Thank you Patrick!

Cure? Who wants to be cured indeed! I have just discovered that Kilt and its accessories are as fascinating as mountain climbing equipment used to be when I was younger

Chase I think you qualify, but if you think you do and want it by all means get the Black Watch, and I think you also qualify for the the Maple Leaf, but again what do you think?

BTW the xmarks tartan is the one on the background, here is a link to a recent xmarks kilt

Those will definitely be my next two purchases - in order of preference, the Black Watch followed by the Maple Leaf.

    Thanks Mc

I will be picking up my Maple Leaf later this week, you might want to get in touch with Pete at Canadian Casual Kilts, he is a member here, and has got some specially woven Maple Leaf tartan. PM MacHummel, that is his screen name here.

I have posted this elsewhere but here goes again. Galbraith from a family connection and Lindsay from my in-laws side . I inherited the Lindsay kilt and had it altered to fit and it is a real beauty.

    Own:
    • Robertson (Red), Robertson Hunting, Robertson Hunting Ancient - mother's family
    • Sackett - father's family
    • X Marks - designed by a XMarker, ordered through a Xmarker, woven by a XMarker, kilt made by a XMarker, worn by a XMarker
    In development:
    • American Heritage
    • MacDonald of Clanranald - Irish ancestors on mother's side. There are also MacDonalds on father's side.
    • Irish National - same as above
    Under consideration:
    • Mapleleaf - I am going to have to get the "official" SOKS tartan, I think.
    • Hunting Stewart - from my father's side; my personal favorite of the Stewart tartans and the only military tartan I would wear.

I saw the pics you posted of it and that is what prompted me moving it from the maybe list to the gotta have it list. The maybe list is just too long to list here, let alone try to remember. Of course, the only thing that keeps any of them on those two lists is $$$$. Doing a basement remodel right now that has included painting the exterior of the house, new furnace & A/C, concrete work........ Maybe one of the ones on the list will get knocked off if there's $$ left over. Hmmmm...would have to be the Walker Hunting for Mom.
