w2f,
Great photos! Is it just me or does Steve really look like he belongs in Colonial era New England? We are glad our kilted cousins up North treated you so well. I do have to ask you or Barb...
What is the story behind Barb's belt?
I'm looking forward to hearing all about your trip at our next kilt night.

Ummm,... I wasn't in the need-to-know circle.

w2f,
Is that a statue of Robert Service you're standing next to in the second photo?
Cheers,

Alas, no. This monument was to a man who envisioned turning this railroad right-of-way into the wonder regional trail it is today. I read the plaque, but failed to note his name. Had it been Robert Service, even my unimpressionable mind would have registered it.

Indeed, everything I heard about you prior to coming was contrary to what I experienced. Your very large reputation precedes you and intimidates everyone in your path, but your charming company quickly and completely disarms the quivering folk. I hesitate to get "gushy" right about here, however, because that might damage your rep. Suffice it to say, your contributions kept the party over-the-top lively.

Barb kindly consented to my request to take the pics. I was intrigued by the human-scale version of a closure system I had used a couple years ago on a turtle shell sporran. Additionally, Steve's request for copies of the pics now makes sense in light of his announced Freedom Kilts Celtic Center, complete with a leather worker shop (but I dare not reveal the actual verbiage he used in making the request!)

Great photos, and nicely balanced between 'official' Kilt Kamp business and the tourism thing. Many of the latter brought back happy memories of the day spent enjoying Steve's warm hospitality in Victoria two years ago.
You all had a super great weekend, that was obvious!
