Thanks for the Organoil tip, saves me messing up the beefwood you sent.

The reaction was terrible. It took me four days & numerous products to try & neutralise it. In the end it took Oxcalic Acid, & I'm still not happy with the grain. It has darkened all that wonderful marbling effect.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys. Although I do them for fun & relaxation, they've inspired me to put one up on ebay & see what kind of reaction I get! If it doesn't mean cutting Rab's grass, I'd be honoured to make a sgian for a member or two.
