Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'll work on some of the things (like the sporran chain, which I dislike). Now, what should my next kilt be?

I would say you're hooked, I personally like to have some kind of connection to the tartans I wear, so if I were you I might go for a family tartan or district tartan for where my family came from, or even possibly one of the American tartans.

I agree with McMurdo...navy blue hose would look excellent!

Looking good! A man in a kilt is a man and a half.
As mentioned, I don't think it needs to be hemmed, it looks to be about the right length as is.
