I don't think the kilt defines me, or completes me. I think the things that led me to try out wearing a kilt, and then to continue, are part of the definitional me. Maybe the kilt is like boot camp---it's an exposure to something new, something that you prove you can accomplish and carry off with style?
It's silly to think that a few yards of cloth could change how a man carries himself, but then again it's a silly old world.
