Looks good!
But most of the rabble who wear the kilt on a daily basis stear clear of chain sporran belts, because the chain will damage the fabric. This isn't just an urban legend!

Indeed!
I upgraded one of my sporran chains in the way ChattanCat has, and I now have no fear at all that the chain will damage any of my kilts: the links are welded together and have no sharp edges at all. I think the heavier chain looks a lot more sturdy and masculine as well.
The original clips were pretty awful, as well, and looked as if they could be pulled apart with very little effort.
The total upgrade cost me about $10 - well worth it, I think.
