I've got a MacLeod Hunting (I think) that is pleated like that.

yellow - yellow - red - yellow - yellow - red - etc

Actually, that one's a Stewart Hunting.

This also works VERY well when you're doing a 5 yard kilt and need to "cheat the sett" to make the back of the kilt look nice.
