Cloves, you're in a different country, ha, 9:30 in NFLD.
(Don't worry, it's a Canadian joke.)

I knew she wasn't from NFLD, just couldn't remember where and I was playing up the whole maritime thing and... oh, never mind. It's not funny if it has to be explained.

10/27 is the one day in the near future I know I won't be kilted. I'm in a wedding in Stony Pt, NY and in morning coats. Groom finally picked outfits, but the best man and I were about to revolt and wear kilts anyway (groom has one as well, but she wants morning coats). Actually there is an after reception party, and I'm sure I'll change before then, so maybe there will be pics.

Agree to wear the "mourning coats" and then show up in kilts instead?
Just a thought..

springfield. . .st.louie?
Ok, so I am reading all of these posts about a global kilt night and there are no Missourians piping in. I will throw my hat in the ring (as new as it may be) and say that I would love to get in on this global kilt night. Seems like a good enough excuse to me to get the kilted bunch o Missourians together.

That's the beauty of this "Global" thing! Where-ever you are on the 27th ( as a dry [or wet ] run for our X-Marks Birthday/Burns night) we will stop what we are doing and raise a toast (of whatever liquid libation desired) to all other X-Mark Clansmen (and women) around the globe - (globe get it - Global.) If at all possible, we will take a picture, and then we will share them (unless you are an undercover federal agent!) and we will grow closer!
Windy ain't I...
So - Berserk, you work all night? No sleep?

So the way I figure it is if we cane get a few of the rabble in Europe partying it up we can actually keep this celebration going for something like 28 hours. this is assuming that we have folk in Eastern Australia (and assuming that I have some understanding of time zones on the other side of the world. This is based on the average kilt night is from 7:00 pm - 2:00 am.

Let's make it happen. SOKS (eastern standard time North America) is in, who else?

And on Friday, October 26th we will be at our monthly "Beer, err, umm Kilt Night" at the Devil's Canyon Brewery in Belmont. But then, it will be their annual Halloween Party and we will all be in costume, which means less kilts than usual (there's a rule that if you wear a kilt regularly, you can't wear one on Halloween, as it would not, technically, be a costume). The following night, we will be going to our usual wild Halloween party, and I WILL be in a kilt, but Panache will not (how odd!). Glasses will be lifted, alcoholic or not. We will, of course, post pictures.
Be well,
