Well, I just ordered my 8 meters. I would have preferred to buy it from Pete, and keep the money in forum, but every time I asked he was reserving fabric for kilt orders, until the last time I asked there wasn't any left.
Knowing the popularity of the Maple Leaf, people may want to jump on this quick. And remember - the Maple Leaf is asymmetric - you'll need 7.3 meters for a full-length kilt.

That's ashame that you weren't able to get some of Pete's ML. Still I am interested in seeing this material when it comes in. But ya know no one, as I recall, has a box pleat Maple Leaf .

Double-width cloth - 8-yard kilt, and 2 4-yard box pleats.

Gary you are my hero! Now, are you sure you're 'Merican? I guess you've forgiven us for what transpired in Sackett's Harbor*.

or 4 yards if you don't mind a kilt with a hem.
BTW... if it's the same stuff that Bear used to carry (or ANY of his Canadian Provincial tartans), it was a 9 oz weight, NOT "10-11" oz. Some people "beef up" their material weight to make it sound better than it is. Beware of this before you buy. Make sure you know what it is.

Yeah, I would say that this is closer to 9 oz than 10.5 or 11 oz.
And the colors:
What Pete has:

What the eBay seller sold:

The colors are close enough that I don't think a picture of mine would look different enough to notice.
