    -$20 for the cheap looking belt
    -$60 for the buckle
    -$60 for the sgian (it looks to be a cheap plastic one)
    -$500 for the sporran and chain
    -$35 for the cuff links
    -$20 for the kilt pin

    = $500 for a box????

    I'm no expert wood worker but unless the outside has some good hand carved patterns or something I still say its nice but a bit much.

    If these are the same (and I think they are) they are slightly better quality that they look in the pictures, but you absolutely right it is overpriced. I would never consider buying it, first because you can buy better quality for less and second because I don't really want a matching set of anything other than dishes. To me a matched set like that is part of a uniform, maybe for a band.
