For those who have one, what is the approximate waist to hip difference? I, like others, can have a problem with off the rack kilts because there often isn't enough flair for the butt.

Hmmmm, I don't believe I have that problem, I have a disease called noassatall. Perhaps I'll have to order one of their kilts sooner or later.

I have that same disease!
And thanks to you, SergeantFirstClass, I don't have to save up for a reproduction!

The one you'll be getting is the real deal, it still has the label on the inside of the inner apron. I have one as well. I wear it regularly.

I have thoughts of getting one from WPG, but 22 oz material and the warm climbs of Florida might not be a good match. How does the fabric feel? From the closeup of the bottom of the pleats it looks a little coarse.
My band wears Gordon tartan pleated to the stripe and I am not fond of our kilts. I might be able to endure some warm discomfort to have a regimental weight tartan band kilt. I am sure the swing is most excellent. Now to approach our Pipe Major about them .

They are course, they're replicas of military kilts that were worn in the field and in battle, pretty much preWWII. They feel like blanket material. They are warm but not too bad when you're moving around and great in winter weather. Of course, if you wear them in 80 or 90 degree weather you are going to sweat a tad.

My father suffers from that; always amazed me how he kept his kilt or pants up without braces.

Man thats a nice heavy weight kilt, I really like the Gordon.
Now I wonder if a 34" would expand to fit my 35" waist?
And I wonder if a 24" would be to long for my normal 22" length?????
