How can anyone possibly be "wrong" when there are so many widely varied concepts as to what is "right?"

Rumi said, "Out beyond ideas of rightdoing and wrongdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there."

Think I just heard on the radio that Rumi's 800th birthday is this week.

There's a standard two word response involving an insertion related verb and a noun that is the appropriate response to these crazy folks.

In my profession we find many "rule bound" folks were raised in crazymaking homes as children and now as adults cling to any set of rules they happen to like. Gives them comfort knowing theres a "right way" and that they are "right" and we are "wrong" making them "better" than us. What a sad sad way to live...frightened and anxious about doing the "wrong" thing and suffering eternal damnation for screwing up...ya gotta pitty the poor fools.

But ya know, if I am going to suffer eternal damnation in the bowels of Hell at least I'll be kilted.

Ok, we know what your first mistake was!
From some ignorant englishman claiming that kilts are for Scottish ONLY, and only Ulster Scots at that,
BWAHAHAHAH ahem I'm sure it would be entertaining to hear the rationale behind that one --- let's take comfort in the inference that most of the population of the US is thereby "qualified" to wear the kilt.
to some bible-thumping idiot quoting the old testament claiming that anyone (male) wearing the kilt is going to hell, because dressing like a women is a sin!
At least when we get there, we'll be in good company; since Jesus never owned a pair of troosers!!!

Gotta be the tank, since the others would burn up in a micro-fortnight. On the down side, wool would probably carry the smell of brimstone for Eternity.

Ooo, how about a nomex kilt then?? That's an idea...

I could probably find and post all of the websites referring to what I was posting about but it would just aggravate me further.

I'm very lucky in the fact that my work is way cool with me in my kilt. They frankly don't care. It does get noticed by customers, but it usually sparks a good conversation.

I'm going to go put on my kilt and walk around, troll for the ignorant.

    Have a great thanksgiving ya'll.

    AKA Sonora? Maybe Arizona?? LOL.

No. Nomex is a fire and flash resistant material that doesn't burn, drip or melt when exposed to fire. I WILL burn if held in contact with a continuous flame, but as soon as the flame is taken away, it will not sustain combustion.

    Here's the wiki on it-

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomex

Huh, I learned something. It was originally used as a parachute material for the space program...

I have used it extensively, first as an 19K (Armor) in the army, then later as a firefighter/EMT.

It comes in almost any color you can imagine. Great for a hell-kilt.

I think you'd want an especially light weight fabric...perhaps in a lovely shade of red?!
