I am confused. I agree that trump comes across as a jerk but isn't he just offering to buy and develope and maintain a piece of land? Would it not be the government in the UK that takes the land away from the farmer if they like what Trump would use it for more than what the farmer would use it for?
I hope the farmer keeps his land, but it sounds like the Government is more of the bad guy rather than Trump if the land gets stolen away from the farmer.

Mr Trump might be in there to make money but the jobs he will create both in construction and afterwards must be good for the area and Scotland we have many acres of sand dunes but houses and jobs are in short supply as for the farmer no way can he be forced to sell his land Mr Trump will just have to work round the farm

It's not just one farmer's land. There are quite a few of them and it is land they have held for generations.
On top of that, a lot of the places where he wants to develop are areas of outstanding natural beauty AND a sanctuary for many rare animals.
The RSPB are currently trying to get it classified to stop further development on it.
