It certainly is a lovely tartan! It is amazing that how you pleat it can make it look like an entirely different kilt!
AND...love the shoes, Ron! Wonder how they work for bad knees (old nun football injury...story for another day...hee-hee!)!

I agree. It is neat to see how each method of pleating can "change" the tartan's look.
I've been stuck on choosing between the Scottish National and the Maclean Hunting tartans for of Rocky's semi-traditional kilts. I like the Scottish National because, well, it's a national tartan and has lots of good colours in it (and that 1/2 my heritage is Scottish). But I like the Maclean because it's black, green and white (My favourite colour is black, thus why I have two black kilts and why I like the Maclean). But now, I'm really leaning to the Scottish National after seeing it in Ron's kilt.
Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I’ll try to get pics when I can locate (and re-learn how to use) my son’s camera.
The KL Kilts lightweight acrylic Scottish National is pleated (16 pleats) to the stripe so as to display the vertical white double stripes on each pleat.

Please note... that's NOT one of our kilts, just an example of a Scottish National pleated to the stripe.

Sorry Rocky, I didn’t mean to step on your thread.
I intended the pic only as an illustration not as an alternative.
I did ID the kilt in the post above as a KL kilt.
They say that you can’t always tell quality from photos, but in this instance the KL shows pretty clearly to be of lesser quality compared to the Marton Mills PV.

Man, I'm going to have to check those out. Few things are worse than that plantar pain, otherwise known as heel spurs.
Thanks for the info.
