Excellent photos Brad, you both look great, not sure that a cruise is my thing, but what an extremely generous gesture from Nikki's boss.

Cruises are great for a first time visit to an area when you just want to hit the highlights. They're also great when you're making several stops, like in the Caribbean. In fact, I would say that a cruise is a great way to see the islands, since aside from a few notable spots on each island, each place looks much like the other.

Brad,
The pics looks great. Looks like the Jacket fits OK and it got there in time. Sorry to hear you didn't dig on Nassau all that much, but at least you didn't pay for the trip!

Oh, the jacket got here in PLENTY of time. It fits better than "ok" too.

Oh, they're certainly not for everyone, and if you want to visit a site more than an hour from the port, it is a real hassle, and may not be feasible. Also, if you just want to visit one area, they're not real practical.
The basic cabins are certainly not big, but I never spend a lot of time there anyway. Cabins are for sleeping/napping and changing clothes.
I been on six cruises and have another planned, but I've also taken land vacations. It all depends on what I'm going to see. I tend to pick trips based on the sites seen and not the conveyance.
I will have to say that I went to an all-inclusive on Jamaica and it was great. The biggest effort I had to make was putting on long pants for dinner (pre-kilt days).
Yeah, the cabin was small. But, I would hardly be able to tell a horror story from it. It accommodated the two of us just fine. I just wasn't so thrilled with the overall experience. Also, the quality of people on the cruise GREATLY reflected the economy cost. There were some real winners wondering around... lemme tell ya. lol
I did enjoy the dining nights... so not all was lost.
