The fell is 8 inches. All the other pleats have lined up acceptably...not PERFECTLY, but quite acceptably. This one refuses. How can two stripes in a pleat be lines up just fine, but the one that's higher up be a full 1/4 inch off?

No biggie. I only have to hand-sew maybe all of about 9 inches of pleats. Not a big deal. But I reserve the right to be annoyed about it.

I would guess that you are not keeping the material taught enough. Since the wool stretches... not sure but it may be the issue.
