Really, now. What does a guy dancing in a kilt & sporran have to do with an "authentic Irish experience" as the pub is advertising?

"Really, now. What does a guy dancing in a kilt & sporran have to do with an "authentic Irish experience" as the pub is advertising?"

to illustrate the depth if some peoples ignorance about Scots and Irish cultures?

a few years ago there was a fashion for "irish pubs" In England "Rosie O'Neils" "O'Learies" etc. you never met an Irishman in them and most were guilty of , in my opinion, disgraceful stereotyping, with lepracauns, Shamrocks and silly green hats etc. Having some Irish blood I always felt a bit uncomfortable with these places especially as authentic Irish pubs in Dublin etc are always fantastic.
