A fur sporran for hunting!? Only if you are riding side-saddle. If they mean shooting or stalking, then you want a ghillie to handle the guns and reload for you. And, if kilted, you want a good cowhide sporran that won't snag in the heather, gorse and bracken. A fur sporran, once wet, will look like some sort of drowned cat tied 'round your waist. I've hunted, stalked, and shot for nearly half a century and, aside from busting clays in a kilt at a charity shoot, I've never seen anyone seriously out in the field in a kilt other than hunt servants. Gaawd but tartan shops have a lot to answer for....
