Don't listen to him! Just because he can't pull it off, doesn't mean that it should never be done. If it works for you and you look good and are comfortable - go for it! After all, you do have that extra wide kilt belt to hold everything in....

    James,

This gentleman asked for advice; am I not free to give my opinion simply because you disagree with it?

And for the record: I fully support wearing sweaters with kilts. I just don't support tucking them in, as they're not designed to be tucked in.

Peace on Earth and Good will to men.

It's a question of absolutes. Saying that you should Never do anything, especially with kilt is the problem.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you there. There's an old saying, "just because you can doesn't mean you should"...and in the case of tucking-in sweaters (into a kilt or trousers), I would stand by that saying.

I agree , Especially to men who wear kilts.
I myself will NEVER tuck a sweater in simply because I don't believe they are designed to be tucked in. Plus, who out there really needs three inches added to their waist???
