Wait man... I'm confused your wife, sister and cat have beards? Just joking, just joking. Beards work for some people, others not. Guess you just got to find your look. Were you really born with a beard?

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

No beard. Have grown them for roles but I decided long ago that I didn't want one in "everyday" life. In college I had a remarkable pair of muttonchop sideburns that were eminently famous all over the campus but that was the late 60's into the early 70's, so it made sense then.

This is my face; take it or leave it...nothing to hide.

Had facial hair constantly for over ten years. I started out with a goatee (or circle beard or van dyke), then grew a big beard for several months when I played Tevye. I went back and forth between goatee and trimmed beard a couple times, then I tried what I have now (beard trimmed along the jawline). It's a little more to maintain, but I like the look, and I have been informed by a higher authority (my wife) that it will remain. Which is fine. I don't think I'll ever lose the beard, I can't imagine my face without it.
