Hey Joel, I struggled trying to become a poet.. I came up with a few poems that were very good, and the same with short stories, but in a twisted way, I am visual in art. Frankly, I know there must be all this stuff going on outside what is real and normal to us.. planing between souls and so on. So like maybe two of my three eyes don't work, and the left side of my brain usually shuts off when I try to write, LOL!, that's life the way it's supposed to be. LOL!

The main thing I tell people, when asked about poetry, is that I find it important to let it flow from the heart rather than to think about what you're writing.
But, I'm also very visually oriented. When I draw, I strive to capture the smaalest of details (like designs in military buttons). And that's why so many of the poems and songs I write are so descriptive.
Though, getting bach on track, when I do draw, it shocks people to see that I draw each hair individually. Which, I should try drawing a Scottish Highlander from the 1700's...long hair, kilt, carrying a sword...

Good luck, Joel, with your art. Perhaps you should draw that Highlander, give him long hair and a beard, then post it in this thread as well as out on the off topic forum or maybe even the DYI forum.

I haven't seen String on the forum for a while. I hope she's OK. I was hoping she would jump in here too and tell us some bear grease lore.. Hope you're doing OK String.
*** Oops! Right after I posted this, String popped up on the index thingy. Freaky...
Come speak your grease, String, if you're not too busy knitting.
** And I saw your post about the dial-up in the knitting thread a while ago. Glad you're Ok, and hope to see you back on line soon.
Grease out

I should...I'd go perfectly on this thread...but it'll have to wait as my time's packed full of other projects at the moment. I shouldn't even be on here...but then again...

Well... if you do... then go ahead... but don't... and a glass of water with... ehh, you know... what ever. So I'm going to go think about a poster of Darth Vader smoking a cigar... -ish with my third eye.

You know, I've been calling that black shadow tartan on the SWK heavyweight wool kilts, the "Darth Vader Tartan" for a long time. He didn't have hair though...
I think I would want a poster of Vader sitting at a cafiteria table with a styrofoam cup and a cigar; 3CPO sitting next to him. That's what I'm hearing with my third eye...
** It was pointed out that I misspelled C3PO in this post. I stand corrected, but leave the misspelling for the record. So let it be heard; so let it be written.

Well...with that idea...lets drop the cigar and give him a cigarette, instead. I about said a pipe, but that's too fancy for Vader. A cigarette says "bad boy."
