I said no.

Frankly, it would introduce something other than the real reason for the meeting to wear a kilt in the current social atmosphere, and it's just not a good idea if getting a job is the main reason for showing up.

But then, if you wear a kilt all the time (I do not) and intend to do so no matter what, then it would be well to make that plain right up front.

On the other hand, if being kilted is one's primary concern, then by all means one should do so.

OH, heck, just do whatever!
