Certainly there is on sale in Lidl a hardback volume of all Burns poems for a bargain price of £2.99p
The thought of a grocery store chain doing something that promotes literature (and poetry and songs at that!) makes my day.

    Cheers

    Wow!

I wasn't expecting this to be quite so popular!

I wonder if this was the experience of all the Lidl stores in Scotland?

    Apparently so.

Cut-price kilts fly off the shelves

A supermarket offering cut-price kilts ahead of Burns Night sold out of the items in just three hours.

Customers rushed to Lidl stores across Scotland to snap up the kilts, which went on sale today for £24.99.

In East Kilbride it took just 15 minutes for the traditional dress to sell out and by 11am, just three hours after opening, they had flown off the racks at all 82
    stores.
    Best regards,

    Jake

Hey if this becomes a trend we could very well be picking up our kilts, songs, and verse from the WAL-Martians
