    Galician is correct. To convert 173cm to inches, take 173cm/2.54 cm/inch. This gives: 68.11 inches/ divide this by 12, and you get 5.68 feet. .68 feet is .68 multiplied by 12inches per foot. This equals 9.18 inches, and this plus the 5 ft gives you 5ft 8.16 inches, so 5 ft 8 in is close enough. I used to love doing dimensional equations.

    Wow, I was never good at math nor remembering what numbers to use where. I just go to Google, type in the centimeters and get the answer in feet, or the other way around. Works for temperatures, etc.
