Champ wrote the "Address to a Cornbread" as a Ozarks take on the Address to a Haggis. He was inspired by another parody, "Address to a Sausage", which a friend of mine in Queensland, Australia sent me. The Aussie Scots recite it at their Burns Supper.

The article didn't, however, go into the disagreements (feuds ) about cornbread: white vs. yellow cornmeal, sweet vs. not sweet, etc.
