Not me, but I have a long time ladyfriend in Phoenix who's deep in for years. She usually works security...a devout fan of swords and Glock. No clue what her outfit is.

Have seen some SCA deals at Highland Games and for some reason just didn't interest me much. Know them that are interested have fun...and I keep hearing about something called "wenches".....

I do believe he's referring to me! Hi Ron!

Howdy! Lady Bethia (aka "Lady B.") here, from the Kingdom of Atenveldt, Barony of Sundragon.

I am currently the baronial sheriff and run amuck in The Great Dark Horde.

Estrella was fun up until it became one big mud bog and I got sick (can you say "acute bronchitis"? ) and had to leave a couple of days early. Up until then, I spent most of my time working security, as I do every war. (Hiya Iain!) I used to fight rapier until my health issues interfered. One of these days I'd like to get back into it.

In the meantime, I do what I can, when I can.

WOW the mud seriously was a problem this year. It never rained "hard" per se but it just didn't stop for almost two days. I had a great war, but the mud is EVERYWHERE. I think i ruined a nice pair of BearPaw boots. Overall a pretty decent war, just too much mud.

Yeah, I can do cold up to a point, but I don't do cold & damp. Add lots of mud to the mix and it's "H Eee Double Hockey Sticks" NO!! My car is still caked in mud and I can't get it washed until I'm over my bronchitis.

Will you being coming out to Mixed Weapon's War next month? It's out in Buckeye. It would be cool to meet you and any other XMarks SCA folks in person!

I might be heading out for Mixed Weapon's but I probably won't be fighting at it if I do go. I'll keep in touch and let you know if we plan to head out there
