@ frank: I was a football player too, but here in Europe... only friends in USA
OK.Thank you. Now that I know that I am allowed to wear it I will ask him more infos about the family and their desires and expectations.
Third Question:
Should I wear that "nice gadget" called sgian dubh or a in wedding cerimony you should not have "weapons" on you...? ;-)

You didn't date the bride at any time...did you? Just kidding! I typically forego the sgian dubh at religious events (church mostly) but I have seen them at weddings before. I suppose it might come down to what the wedding party thinks.

Most people wearing a kilt to a Scottish wedding will also wear a Sgian Dubh.
If you are concerned about wearing a weapon, you can get a safety Sgian Dubh which has a plastic blade (instead of a metal blade) like this one: http://scottishkilts.net/products/dr...gian_dubh.html
