I thought the website said it occured at 10pm central time. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stay an extra hour.

Well until you started this thread I'd naught heard of this tradition. Since I read this thread, yesterday, I heard a commercial for a bar near me advertising for this event. Funny how that works...I'm there!

Never heard of it so it maybe doesn't happen this side of the pond. The only Guinness I ever thought worth drinking was in Ireland anyway. For some reason it just doesn't taste the same anywhere else. And when I started drinking it it only came in bottles and each pub you went into in Ireland had their own labels on the bottle.

Maybe, it's like Coca Cola. The makers change the recipe to suit the taste of the consuming country.
