Okay, last night I heard from a cousin I didn't know I had, who has spent 40 yrs researching our McReynolds/Keppoch line. Because of information he's provided regarding our line out of Keppoch & its connection to the Dolnald clan of that area I'm revamping my list and adding the tartan of that name to it.
Only I'm undecided as to which one I'll choose yet. I'm leaning towards one of the "special weave" tartans (see new thread I'll post on the subject).

I'm a member of Clan Mackay Society, plus I like the history of this tartan. It was first one registered by Chief of Mackay in 1819. Also the colors match descriptions of tartan worn by the Mackay Regt in the 30 Years War.
Wish List:
MACDONELL OF KEPPOCH - undecided to which tartan just yet.
WEATHERED MACKAY - two reasons: 1) a rarely worn by members of Clan Mackay Society, & 2) it would make a great "hill climber" color.
PERTHSHIRE DISTRICT (MUTED) - the "homeland" of my Scobee's.
GREEN IRISH (SOLID) - for my Irish ancestors, & is the tartan chosen last year by the Clan O'Mórda society on St. Patrick's Day.
RED ULSTER - for my Ulster Scot kin.
MODERN MACKAY - Yes, a second one! One for dress & one for knocking about
Considering:
ANCIENT MACKAY - just because I like the colors!
MACKAY OF STRATHNAVER - an interesting looking tartan that is fast becoming a favorite of Clan Mackay members.
There are others I'm considering, but will end my list here (for now)....
