Ron - have you tried the wooden kilt hangers from Stillwater Kilts? I hang all mine on these and find they are just great.

Think I'll have to order one of those also. Thanks for posting the link. Like you I think that is doesn't make much sense to hang an exspensive kilt on a couple of cheap plastic hangers.

Still water used to carry what they called deluxe hangers that were 16" long rather than 12'' and worked much better. Does anyone know of any available in that length?

Haven't ever used the clamp type hangers. Just WalMart plastic and the two home made ones for my heavy leather kilts.

The Order of the Gael deal is to make a hanger to go in their kilt case product, but it also hangs in a closet. The Order of the Gael hanger is designed to hang the kilt properly, hold a waist coat, jacket, fly plaid dealie or necktie, all on one hanger. The other kilt hangers just hold a klit hanger.

I know its a chore for me to organize even two hanger tops sticking out of a garment bag when I put a kilt and shirt in together.

They put deals on the top of the shoulder part of the hanger so the jacket doesn't slide around. Same on the crossbar. Bet I could hang my kilt hose over that crossbar thing too.

Can't remember if the dimensions are on the website - hope so - but the wire bars are 16" long and the total width at the shoulder holder part is 18 1/2" I like that wide size 'cause I'm a too well fed guy and my klits have a lot of waistline to hang, even when hung tripled.
