oh man...did anybody notice she had a string of xmas lights caught around her neck??!!

I'm sure that's some sort of statement about humans encroahing on wildlife habitat if ever there was one

    I concur completely.

Moosearoni is my favorite. Reminds me of fifth grade when a big ol cow chased me halfway to school every day. One day Dad got tired of it and had me step outside on the porch while the game warden looked on. The moose charged me and she was yummy!

Yep we noticed the string of lights. Called Fish and Wildlife. They said they usually shake em off, but to keep an eye out for it and if we see it with the lights in a week or two to give em a call. (The moose tend not to range too far in the winter, and we see them around the neighborhood fairly regularly.)

As far as the encroachment issue, take a look at the Fairbanks area on Google earth somtime. There is plenty of place for the moose to roam without ever even seeing a human.

No, it is a Rudolf the red nose Moose wannabe. All Moose want to secretly become dainty little "raindears".
