They look hand painted not an easy task on such a scale especially when it comes to depicting tartan!

I know it's not the best picture, but I wanted to share this one of my buddy Timbow who stopped by the Mackay booth back in 2003 and restaged the battle of Culloden:
Tim handpainted all these fig's, including tartans!!
We plan to do something similar this year at the Bellingham games in June (I'll try and get a better photo then).
Oh, by the way, my nephew (who played the Jacobite side) & Timbow (who was the Crown) rewrote history, the Jacobites carried the day
