WE FEAR NO BRUISE, BLOOD OR OPPOSITION!!

If you ever see one of our initiation rites - "The Guantlet" - you would know.

Imagine . . . an open field corridor, 50' wide and 100' long . . . 10 players on each side with 150 - 200 rounds of paint EACH . . . one sole player at the entrance with goggles FIRMLY in place . . . he slow walks the 100' taking fire from all.

We have all walked it - some more than once, none more times than me (the Captain). It is part of understanding that pain is not an enemy. We have taken more of it from our brothers than anything the opposition can dish out. It is a small trial-by-fire experience we all have in common.

I have more scars from my own team mates than from all the games I have attended and I trust every player on my team.

Not that we take everything too seriously.

We are in the works of doing a video of "The Guantlet" as part of our training. It will be in conjunction with our team's new Training Manual that our XO and I are writting.

Our video camera needs a new battery - the present one is only useful as trebuchet fodder. I am ordering a new one through my work (interstate Batteries). When it comes in we are going to plan some video shoots.

Also one vid will be on Team Dress Code including battle dress, off-field casual and off-field more-formal. There will be kilted and non-kilted options for these. It will be a while for the dress code vids because we haven't gotten together to codify the kilted aspects and we haven't ordered kilts as a team either.

When we get a vid on "The Guantlet" I will make it available to watch online and post a link. The same goes for the Team Dress Code vid(s).

I'll be watching those vids too. Never been to a reenactment paintball event, but if I did, kilted would be the sure way to go. Good luck with your search, and welcome to the forum, from another newbie.
