SWK at the speed of light!
So monday night I got a wild idea and decided to order an Irish National tartan SWK standard to wear this weekend, so as to avoid any "hey, that's Scottish, this is an Irish day!", and other statements to that nature.
Ordered: Monday evening at work.
Received: Wednesday afternoon.
Is it possible that Jerry is actually Santa Claus? Maybe this is what he does the rest of the year.
Anyhow. So this is my first PV kilt. I wanted something in not-wool to wear this weekend, something that I wouldn't care if something got spilled on it, etc.. But wow, I tried it on, and it's actually nice! It's a bit lighter than my wool 6 yarder, but doesn't have that "plastic" feel that I thought it would.
I sincerely hope that nobody was injured when Jerry ripped open the space-time continuum to worm-hole my kilt to me. Next time I order, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for Rudolph's red nose or any other "X-files" brand of phenomenon. I wonder if there is some sort of radiation emitting from the kilt and/or the box it was sent in. I'll go and fetch me a Geiger counter.
Pics to be posted soon! But first, I must go to class, and remove basting stitches.

It has come to my attention that Jerry is utilizing the Sciuropterus Delivery System. This new system uses Faster than Light Teleportation technology to begin the delivery process before the order is actually made.

Congratulations! That's great about the shipping time When we ordered a SWK Black Stewart tartan standard kilt for my husband, it was because of all the reviews of not just the decent-kilt-for-the-price, but the customer service and shipping speed that sold us on finally going for it.
I wanted my husband to go ahead and order a Irish National tartan kilt as well, but he was good and decided not to go too nuts with spending money on kilt stuff. If I had my way, we'd need another closet for everything I want to buy him (not to mention for me, too, of course).

Enjoy wearing it!

I ordered an SWK Irish National Tartan kilt LAST Monday for the same reason. It, too, arrived in two days. I got the economy model since I don't plan to wear it often and I'm trying to lose some weight - but for $30 I figure if I only wear it once or twice, it's no big deal.
My only surprise is Jerry hasn't figured out how to deliver it BEFORE I order it!

Those were my exact same thoughts as well for wanting to get one for my husband. He's been losing weight and kept holding off on buying a kilt because he was afraid it wouldn't fit. I told him he'd be missing out on the fun NOW until the day came where he was finished losing weight. His standard is a bit loose on him, but we felt the slightly bigger size would be better than risking a slightly-too-small size now. As far as the pleats, I admit I wanted the chance to see if I could sew those down. He held off on getting one though (d'oh!).

Congrats on the new kilt. Just to clear up a point, Stillwater kilts are acrylic, not PV. Very different feel between the two.
Best regards,

Oh yeah.. I forgot about them being acrylic. Still, the fabric works, and for a knockaround kilt, it's going to do just fine!

Cynthia I have sewn down all the pleats on my economy and thrifty and they fit better.

I ordered a kilt from SWK on the 10th, dispatched on the 11th. I'm now at the mercy of international post.
No great rush, but I'd like it sooner rather than later.
