That stitching is there to keep the pleat from "poking" out from behind the bottom of the apron, I believe. What is that tartan? It's fantastic!

Yeah, I like it too. It's an Irish Tartan; county Kildare. Both my mother's and father's families came from there. Although, like me, they were born in London.

You are welcome to Texas anytime, but you will find that jalapenos are one of the preferred garnishes on burgers rather than beets and carrots.

Unlike most Ozzies, I don't like beets on my burgers. Maybe that's because I'm really a Pom (=Limey). Jalapeños on the other hand sounds like a great idea!
