Kilt belts with velcro adjustment?

I have the StillWater kilt belt with velcro. It's not too bulky or anything. It will have a little bit of a gap between the front and back of the belt right at the part that has folded around the buckle.

That being said, I like the other kind with the buckle prongs that go through holes in the belt for more casual dress because those buckles aren't as... big or flashy maybe. Perhaps somewhere there is a buckle that looks like a prong buckle, but works on the velcro belts...

I also havethe SWK belt, I like it. but when you get it you have to work it with the leather conditioner. And the gap is a bit of a problem for me, I can't wear my sporran on front ways with it I have to put it to the side.

It is a pretty stiff piece of leather. I don't quite know what your mean about having to wear the sporran to the side unless you are talking about using a sporran hanger with the belt. I can see how that might cause some problems.

yeah, i ahve the same problem as him as well. the belt works fine but putting the sporran to the side does sometimes annoy me.

I have both types and prefer the velcro. Loads of reasons to like the velcro belt over the old fashioned belt, most of which are mentioned here. The newer belt also has a nicer design.
