Looking at the photos used on their site, the prices, and also the wording one cannot help wonder if they are not part of the G**d B**s empire...

    Also what is "polyviscose wool"?

But I do like the tartan design which incorporates all the colours in the "Draig Goch" flag of Wales.

Best of luck with the weight loss Arlen - someone told me yesterday that I had put on weight and I replied that the Isle of Skye kilt I was wearing fitted me in the same position over 12 months ago!

Now that is a great one. You must have been indignant.

As far as the wording on the site, I think they just plain don't know what they're talking about.
I've dealt with Gold brothers before and all their stock is dealt with in a central warehouse up north.
When I phoned to check that this company had got my payment I got the person who actually runs it and was pleasantly surprised by the great customer service.
Admittedly, I really quite like the Gold Brothers kilt I have, as much as I really don't like their trading methods.

    I wasn't really that indignant

But strangely I do use how a kilt is fitting as a yardstick more than what my bathroom scales might say (they lie through their teeth anyway! )

As a diabetic I find losing weight difficult but then I don't gain much either so maybe I have reached some form of equilibrium...

I see that they are in Galashiels and can be visited so next time I am in that area I must pop in.

It's the GB trading methods I have the biggest problem with too Arlen - I have an 8 yard cotton camo kilt from them and I love it. They don't offer much in the way of 8 yard budget kilts though so maybe there is a difference there between GB and mytartan.com .

Yeah, GB just... they are a bit of a devouring monster and that is really a shame.
I was actually surprised when I got this kilt and it was an 8 yarder. I had really thought that the site were selling the usual casual kilts and just didn't know very much.
When it arrived and I saw all of those pleats my heart fluttered a little.
