Contemporary vs. Traditional Kilt Perceptions?

I wonder if the enormous success of Utilikilts, getting men out of pants, will end up getting them into more traditional styles of kilt.
Do you think the Scottish kilt will benefit from UK's advertizing?

Salutations! Speaking strictly for myself, I can say that the Scottish kilt HAS benefited from UK's advertising. I started with a UK (original, then Mockers), and progressed to "real kilts" (sic).
