For those of you who are not followers of UEFA [Union of European Football Associations] football [soccer] there are two international football tournaments drawing to a close this month:
UEFA Cup which will feature Rangers [Scot] vs. Zenit St Petersburg [Rus] in Manchester [UK] on 14 May
UEFA Champions League will feature Manchester United FC [UK] vs. Chelsea FC [UK] in Moskow [Rus] on 21 May.
The situation is further complicated when you start refering to team colors as Rangers and Chesea and Zenat all wera predominantly blue kit [uniforms] and Manchester U is a red team [not to be confused with Manchester City who are also a blue team and of course Russia in general is still refered to in slang as "reds."
Soo... we have two sets of rival fans discussing their events here and confusing us Americans who keep wanting to stop the clock and pick up the ball .
Thanks for the clarification. Those would be two games worth watching or even listening to on the BBC radio. Does anyone know if it will be possible to see or hear them here in the states?

I'd hope there would be coverage of champions league as it is the culmination of the main european football competition. It will be covered by SKY so the chances are it may sneak on an American associate channel

I stand correct Nervous Jock, you are right that the EPL is not the end all and be all of Football on the Isles.
Peter, I know that at least the Champions League games have been on the ESPN family of networks, I do not know about the Cup games. BTW the coverage of this sport has gotten MUCH better since I first started watching it [Mexico World Cup] and the only coverage was on Univision. ESPN etc. actually no longer "insert" add breaks into the games
